As Director of Photography, I was responsible for interpreting a strict client brief and producing visuals under tight turnaround times. This being my first commercial, it was a steep but rewarding learning curve. I quickly adapted to balancing creative ambition with brand requirements, and I came away with a clearer sense of how to deliver strong imagery within professional constraints. While I can already pinpoint areas for refinement, the project gave me a solid foundation in branded content and confirmed my ability to perform under pressure.

On the short drama Years Apart, I worked as 1st Assistant Camera with the ARRI Alexa system - my first time handling a professional-level setup. I was responsible for pulling focus, building and maintaining the camera, and making sure everything ran smoothly on set. It was a fast-paced environment where precision really mattered, and the experience gave me solid technical skills as well as a deeper understanding of how to support the DoP and wider camera team.

Double Date was my first project as Director of Photography, and it was both a challenge and a huge learning curve. The film used split screens to show different versions of the same characters, which meant I had to be really precise with framing, lighting, and timing to make everything line up. It wasn’t always easy, but it pushed me to problem-solve on set and think creatively about how the camera could tell the story. Working on this project gave me a real taste of what it means to shape the look and feel of a film as a DoP. It built my confidence and gave me experience in handling technical challenges while still keeping the visuals engaging. Looking back, it’s a project that made me even more excited about pursuing cinematography and developing my own visual style.
